Former New Jersey State Assemblyman
Jack Ciattarelli is an American businessman and politician
who served as a member of the New Jersey General Assembly representing the 16th
Legislative District from 2012 to 2018. A member of the Republican Party,
Ciattarelli became the Republican nominee for Governor of New Jersey in the
2021 election and later ran again for governor in the 2025 election.
Before entering public office, Ciattarelli built a career in
business and accounting. He worked in financial consulting and co-founded a
medical publishing company.
During his time in the New Jersey General Assembly,
Ciattarelli focused on fiscal policy, tax reform, and government
accountability. He later launched campaigns for governor in 2017 and again in
2021.
In the 2021 gubernatorial election, Ciattarelli ran against
incumbent Governor Phil Murphy in one of the closest New Jersey gubernatorial
races in decades. He later ran again for governor in the 2025 election, facing
Democratic nominee Mikie Sherrill.
