Only voters living within New Jersey’s 11th Congressional District may participate in this election.

Who Can Vote in New Jersey

To vote in a New Jersey election, a person must:

• Be a United States citizen

• Be a New Jersey resident for at least 30 days before the election

• Be 18 years old on or before Election Day

• Not currently be serving a sentence of incarceration for an indictable offense

Early Voting

Early Voting Dates: April 6 – April 14, 2026

Typical hours:

• Monday–Saturday: 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM

• Sunday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Vote‑by‑Mail Deadlines

April 9, 2026: Deadline to apply for a mail‑in ballot by mail

April 15, 2026 – 3:00 PM: Deadline to apply in person for a mail‑in ballot

April 16, 2026 – 8:00 PM: Deadline to submit mail‑in ballots at drop boxes or county election offices

Ballots sent through the mail must be postmarked by Election Day to be counted.

How to Register to Vote

Register Online

Eligible residents can register through the New Jersey Voter Information Portal using a New Jersey driver’s license, non‑driver ID, or Social Security number.

Register by Mail

Voter registration forms can be downloaded from the New Jersey Division of Elections or requested from a county Board of Elections. Completed forms must be submitted before the March 26, 2026 deadline.

Register in Person

Residents may also register at municipal clerk offices, county election offices, or New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission (MVC) offices.

The Morris County Board of Elections announced that its office at 10 Court Street in Morristown will remain open until 9:00 PM on March 26, 2026 to accommodate residents registering to vote before the legal deadline.
