February 5, 2026 — Special Primary Election (RESULTS)
The Democratic nomination for the special U.S. House election in New Jersey’s 11th Congressional District was won by Analilia Mejia.
The Republican nomination was won by Joe Hathaway.
April 16, 2026 — Special General Election
Voters in NJ-11 will elect a U.S. Representative to complete the term.
Applies only to voters in New Jersey’s 11th Congressional District.
June 2, 2026 — Statewide Primary Election
November 3, 2026 — Statewide General Election
March–May 2026 — Municipal and school board elections

You must be registered by the deadline for each election:
January 15, 2026 — Special Primary (NJ-11) (passed)
March 26, 2026 — Special General (NJ-11)
May 12, 2026 — Statewide Primary
October 13, 2026 — Statewide General Election
New Jersey offers three ways to vote.
Polls are open 6:00 AM – 8:00 PM
You must vote at your assigned polling location
Early voting allows voters to cast ballots before Election Day at designated locations in every county.
Primary Early Voting: May 26 – May 31, 2026
General Early Voting: October 24 – November 1, 2026
Any voter may use early voting
No appointment required
Any registered voter may vote by mail
Ballots can be returned by mail or secure drop box
Ballots must be postmarked by Election Day

To vote in New Jersey, you must:
Be a U.S. citizen
Be at least 18 years old on Election Day
Be a New Jersey resident for at least 30 days
Not be currently incarcerated for a felony conviction
Party registration determines which primary ballot you receive
Unaffiliated voters may choose a party at the polls during the primary
Vote-by-mail ballots cannot be dropped off at Election Day polling locations
Provisional ballots are available if eligibility questions arise
